2026 City of Santa Barbara Community Interest and Opinion Survey
The City of Santa Barbara is developing a Parks and Recreation Master Plan to guide priorities and investments for years to come. As part of this effort, we are conducting a community survey to understand what is working well, what could be improved, and what should be prioritized in the future. Your response matters!
The City manages beaches, open spaces and trails, playgrounds, sports fields and courts, swimming pools, community and recreation centers, community gardens, and other public spaces. We also provide recreation programs, camps, classes, community events, and activities for people of all ages and abilities. Whether you use these places and programs frequently, occasionally, or not at all, we want to hear from you.

Please complete this survey rather than the public survey that will be available on the City’s website. ETC Institute, an independent research firm, is conducting the survey on the City’s behalf. Your individual responses will remain confidential. Once analyzed, the results will be available in a summary report and presented to City Council.
